Immersive.inc has selected the Region of Murcia as the home for a groundbreaking tech and audiovisual ecosystem, bringing over €200M in investment and 1,000 new jobs over 5 years.
In a landmark announcement that positions the Region of Murcia at the forefront of Europe's audiovisual and technology landscape, Immersive.inc has officially selected Murcia as the base for its ambitious tech and audiovisual hub — a project set to transform the region's creative economy.
A Vision Worth Over €200 Million
The initiative represents a total investment exceeding €200 million, creating a comprehensive audiovisual ecosystem that spans production, education, and technology innovation. At its core, the project includes a 20,000 square meter production property designed to house world-class virtual production stages, post-production facilities, and creative workspaces.
The project is expected to generate more than 1,000 direct jobs over five years, with significant multiplier effects across the regional economy — from hospitality and construction to specialized technology services.
Infrastructure Taking Shape
Several key infrastructure components are already in development:
- La Verdad Building — A historic landmark being transformed into a cutting-edge virtual production center, combining heritage architecture with next-generation LED volume stages and real-time rendering technology.
- Las Torres de Cotillas Studio — A dedicated production studio complex designed for film, television, and immersive content creation, offering soundstages and production support services.
Education at the Core
A defining element of the Murcia hub is its commitment to education. The project includes the distribution of 100,000 student licenses for the platform's learning tools, ensuring that the next generation of creators has access to professional-grade technology from day one.
Additionally, Leoblocks, the platform's AI-powered creative suite, will be integrated into educational programs across the region, enabling students to learn virtual production, 3D modeling, and AI-assisted content creation as part of their curriculum.
Why Murcia?
The Region of Murcia offers a unique combination of factors that made it the ideal choice: over 300 days of sunshine per year (critical for production schedules), a growing technology talent pool, competitive costs compared to other European hubs, and strong institutional support from regional and municipal authorities.
This announcement follows months of collaboration between Immersive.inc and regional stakeholders, marking the beginning of what promises to be a transformative chapter for Murcia's economy and creative industries.
